Palm Sunday: Bring Your “Cloaks”

Palm Sunday: Bring Your “Cloaks”

Bring Your “Cloaks” – Empty Your Mite Boxes – Purchase Needed Items – Offer Them on Sunday, April 9

Each year on Palm/Passion Sunday a verse from the gospel says –  “A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.”  We invite you to purchase a coat, umbrella, boots, or poncho to line the aisles of the church as we enter from our Palm Sunday procession.  For those who participated in the “Think Outside the Mite Box” collection during Lent, take this money and make your purchase.

May these coats be blessed so that they may be used in good health by our guests at our Red Door Ministries.  Let us be like the crowds who welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with loud shouts, let us welcome all who are in need into our midst, and let us love them, as Christ loves us.

If you’d like to learn how to get more involved with the Red Door Ministries at Grace and Holy Trinity contact The Rev. Kim Reinholz or visit our website for more information.   You can also find us on Facebook at Red Door RVA.

Worship services this Sunday are at 7:45, 8:45, and 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with Palm Sunday processions at the 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. services.  The Nursery is open from 8:30-12:15 p.m. Breakfast is served from 9:15-9:55 p.m. Christian Formation at 10:00 a.m. is inter-age Stations of the Cross, which is especially designed for families with children.
