Would you like to volunteer?

Lay leadership is an important part of our worship services.  Training is provided for all these ministries, and in some instances a license is required from the Bishop’s office. We welcome new volunteers for our many ministries. Contact a member of the clergy or Carolyn Chilton to learn more about these ministries. Acolytes – performs ceremonial duties during the worship service.  This may include carrying the processional cross and candles and assisting with Holy Eucharist.   The Acolyte Ministry is open to children in our parish from 5th grade through high school, and they serve at both the 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. services, in addition to special holiday services. For more information contact Mary Cay Kollmansperger. Altar Guild – prepares the altar for worship and cares for the altar vessels and linens. Chalice Bearer – administers the chalice (cup of wine) during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.  Chalice bearers must be at least 16 years of age and be a confirmed member in good standing of this parish. Choir – visit our music page to learn more. Greeter – welcomes people to Sunday morning worship, helps visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Lector – reads one of the lessons or the Prayers of the People from Holy Scripture during worship. Usher – distributes worship bulletins prior to the service, assists with the collection of the offering.
