Beginning Sunday, March 10 through April 7, GHTC will focus on how people in the parish can live out their Baptismal Covenant with God’s help. Each week will focus on a different area–plan to join us at 10:00 a.m. in the Adult Classroom to explore and deepen your faith journey.
March 10 | Continue
Take a look at 100 years of Saints (1919-2019) with the Rev. Kim Reinholz leading the discussion. The question: Will you continue in the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers?
March 17 | Repent
Join Aisha Huertas for a discussion about how the church responds today to evil and to good. The question: Will you persevere in resisting evil, and whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?
March 24 | Proclaim
Our Deacon and Missioner to Monroe Park Sarah Kye Price will lead a discussion about bringing the church to the world, including faith from the margins. The question: Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?
March 31 | Seek & Serve
A panel discussion featuring several parishioners will focus on opportunities to serve the church and the community–including the Urban Youth pilgrimage, the Red Door and the Micah project. Our own Sara Jo Williams will facilitate. The question: Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons loving your neighbor as yourself?
April 7 | Respect
Our own experiences determine how we see others; what you remember about college is nothing like what many of our VCU students face today. Learn more about respecting the dignity of students in our midst with a panel discussion facilitated by Kim Reinholz. The question: Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?
April 14 | Palm Sunday
Parishioners of all ages will join in this intergenerational walk through Holy Week. Led by Nick Sollog and Aaron Davis, be sure to attend for some ideas to implement at home for the observance of Holy Week.
