Blessing of the Animals

Furry friends are invited to join the Richmond SPCA at Grace and Holy Trinity Church on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 5:00 p.m. for the annual “Pet Blessing” service. All animals (and their humans) are welcome to receive a blessing from The Rev. Bill Queen. The Tail Wag’ N’ vehicle will be onsite if you would like to adopt a new four-legged friend. This special service is always a treat!

Thanks to the Richmond SPCA, a nonprofit no-kill humane society, more than 4,000 homeless dogs, cats, kittens and puppies each year are saved. The Richmond SPCA provides extensive veterinary medical treatment and behavioral rehabilitation to the vast majority of dogs and cats in its shelter because the animals come to them with significant behavioral challenges and medical issues.

At Grace and Holy Trinity Church’s Oct. 6 Blessing of the Animals at 5:00 p.m. you can visit the Richmond SPCA’s mobile Tail Wag’ N’ vehicle so you can pet (or adopt) an animal that needs a good home.
