Communion Sunday, May 2

Although we have fasted for over a year, we will be able to celebrate communion together on May 2. We will be distributing communion in one kind – the bread only – with some special procedures:

  • Communicants will receive communion while in their pew.
  • Celebrants will not place a wafer in a communicant’s mouth.
  • Celebrants will wear masks, sanitize hands before and after the Eucharistic prayer, and any time hands come in contact with any person.

When properly distanced from others, communicants may draw down or raise their mask momentarily in order to consume the wafer, replacing the mask immediately after consuming the wafer.
