Holy Week and Easter
Great news…we CAN have in-person services inside our beautiful church building! We look forward to seeing you on Easter. In response, Grace and Holy Trinity will offer three services on Easter Sunday. Please see below for complete details and how to register.
Here’s the complete schedule for Holy Week:
Palm Sunday, 3/28
10:00 a.m. Livestream from inside the church; tune in on YouTube and Facebook. Pick up the blessed palms from the front porch of the church after the service and download the bulletin from our website.
Maundy Thursday, 4/1
6:00 p.m. Agape Meal live on Zoom with prayer, scripture, and readings; set your table and place your computer or mobile device at the end of the table so we can all see each other while we eat dinner in our own homes.
8:00 p.m. Stripping of the Altar will premiere on YouTube and Facebook featuring James Taylor, Tenor, singing Psalm 22 a cappella.
Good Friday, 4/2
Noon Our traditional service via livestream on YouTube and Facebook. Download the bulletin from our website; the service begins and ends in silence.
Easter Vigil, 4/3
7:30 p.m. Join parish families with stories over Zoom.
Easter Day, 4/4
Please join us in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ at our first re-gathering services:
- 7 a.m. Sunrise Service in Monroe Park without music. This service will NOT be live-streamed. We expect sunny weather, but in the event of heavy rain, this service will be cancelled. RSVP for Sunrise Service »
- 8 a.m. live-streamed ONLY (no congregation present) from inside the church with choir and organ. Watch on YouTube »
- 10 a.m. in-person in the church with music. You MUST sign-up to attend. This service will NOT be live-streamed. We have reached our seating capacity for this service. To be placed on a waiting list, sign up here »
What about children? Children will be seated with their families as there is no nursery at this time. There will be coloring sheets, flowering of the cross, and ways for children to participate in the 10 a.m. service.
What about Holy Communion? Communion will not be provided at our Easter service. We will gather a few times in person before we introduce communion into our service. Please be patient as this all takes time to work out the details and make plans with the ever-changing landscape of the pandemic.
Reservations are required and several protocols are in place due to coronavirus. Read complete details in the Wednesday’s eNews.
