Flowers on the Altar
This Sunday’s altar greens are given to the glory of God and in memory of Violet Graziano Vullo by Kim Vullo. During Lent, we use only greens without blossoms. If you would like to remember or honor a loved one by giving the altar flowers, please contact Judy Bowman at 804-359-5628 (ext. 14), with dates and specific requests (such as colors and/or particular flowers). The cost is $100. You may mail a check or handle the cost online at ghtc.org/give.
Parish Life
Sunday Funday: Youth – February 26
Join Duane and other GHTC tweens and teens this Sunday night at 4:00 p.m. at Bingo Beer Co in Scott’s Addition for (root)beer, food, fun, fellowship, and many games! We are going to be rolling out a schedule of fun activities for our tweens and teens this spring, so don’t miss our big kickoff.

Foyer Groups Dinner at Bacchus – March 12
The Foyer Groups, led by Debra and Maurice Cole, will meet on Sunday, March 12th at 5:00 p.m. at Bacchus at 2 North Meadow St. All are welcome. These informal gatherings for brunch, lunch, or dinner, either potluck or at a restaurant, are opportunities to enjoy good conversations with good company. Questions or want to join? Contact Maurice and Debra Cole.
Holy Strollers – March 12
We invite you to join the Holy Strollers’ next excursion as we welcome Daylight Saving Time with a late-day walk from church to the Potterfield Memorial Bridge, named after Tyler Potterfield, a former member of the church. Tyler Potterfield was a senior planner for the City of Richmond and helped bring the Richmond Riverfront Plan into existence. We will depart from the church parking lot on Sunday, March 12th at 6:00 p.m. sharp. The walk will last about an hour and a half, and the hills on the route may be slightly challenging for some. You may want to layer up in warm comfortable clothes, wear walking shoes or boots, and bring water. If you have questions or would like to attend, please contact Susan Hankins.
Spirited Sisters – March 13
Spirited Sisters, a women’s group of the parish, will meet next on Monday, March 13th at 5:30 p.m. at Burger Bach in Carytown for lively conversation and a meal. If you are interested in attending contact Cathy Saunders.
Parents’ Night Out – March 17
Parents’ Night Out continues on March 17th, 2023. Parents, please plan to drop off your children of all ages at the church for an evening of fun and fellowship. Childcare is provided from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and dinner is provided. Parents are invited to gather from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Jefferson Hotel before you go off to enjoy your evening. If you would like to sign up, you can do at ghtc.org/PNO.
Parish Workday – March 18
The Property Committee is seeking volunteers for the next parish workday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18th. You can sign up to help online at ghtc.org/parishworkday or in person on Sunday March 5th or 12th outside of the church doors by speaking with Jodie Pully.
