b'Ch or a lEvensongandO r ga nCo n cer tOn the evening of October 30 th , we held a service of Choral Evensong in observance of All Saints Day. The Parish Choir led worship with pieces by Casurella, Shephard, and Stanford. An organ concert featuring guest organist Cheryl Van Ornam and our very own Dr. Elizabeth Melcher Davis preceded worship. Organists performed works by Mendelssohn, Rowley, Vierne, and Weaver. The night wrapped up with a wonderful reception put on by the Hospitality Committee led by Sandie Hale and Karin Walker. Thank you to Sandie, Karin, and to everyone who came out to show their support.On Sunday, February 12 th , at 5:00 p.m., we will hold a service of Choral Evensong led by the Parish Choir. At 4:30 p.m., before worship, Assistant Choirmaster and Organist Sean McDonald will perform an organ concert of works by Bach, Jackson, and Vierne. During the Evensong service, the Parish Choir will present The Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams set to poems by George Herbert with soloists James Taylor and Chase Peak.
