b'R e c to Rs M e s s ag eIt is a fair assessment that the last fourteen months have been marked by a great deal of energy and activity since I became rector of Grace & Holy Trinity Church (GHTC). It seems appropriate, as we approach Lent, to invite all of us, both individually and corporately to slow down and reflect. As wehearintheAshWednesdayservice, Iinviteyou,therefore,inthenameof the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by readingandmeditatingonGodsholy Word. And, to make a right beginning of t a b l e o fc o n t e n ts repentance, and as a mark of our mortal nature, let us now kneel before the Lord, Rectors Message2 our maker and redeemer. A Lenten Reflection 3 Our lives should ebb and flow between a Current Formation Offerings 4 -7 hurried pace and slower pace. While I find God can speak to me in many ways, what Looking Back at Advent,8 I have found to be true is that God speaks Christmas, & Epiphany tomemostclearlywhenIslowdown and listen. Lent is a season for pause and Why Pray Compline?9 reflection. Please consider making time to join a small group for worship, education, Compline Service 10 community,oroutreachaspartofyour Readings for Compline 11 Lenten practices. Life with God is always enrichedwhenwewalkwithothers.
