In April, the Parish Choir presented the Requiem by Sir Philip Ledger with chamber ensemble, and led the February Choral Evensong. In May, a chamber music concert in the Parish Hall featured Violaine Michel, violin; Matvey Lapin, viola; and Katya Lapin, piano.The October All Saints Choral Evensong included excellent organ concerts from Scott Hayes, Cheryl Van Ornam, and Dr. Elizabeth Melcher Davis. The 2 ndAnnual Caroling in Monroe Park assembled more than 350 people on December 11 th , including RVA Street Singers, Anointed Voices from Hood Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, the Greater Richmond Childrens Choir, and Grace & Holy Trinitys vocal ensemble. On Christmas Eve, the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols was led by the Parish Choir and Virginia Commonwealth Universitys brass quintet.The Childrens Choir has grown from four members to thirteen members this year under the excellent direction of Sean McDonald and Abigail Stinnett. Beginning in September, the newly formed Compline Choir, directed by Caroline Guske, led the music beautifully for the Compline worship services on Wednesday evenings. A new Youth Orchestra was formed in the fall under the able leadership of Sean McDonald.We are grateful to the generous pledges for 2023 which has allowed us to increase the music budget from $49,000 in 2020 to $78,150 in 2022. We are grateful to the entire Music Ministry Team leaders, to all of the choirs, and to the Youth Orchestra for their excellent musical leadership, and to all of the staff and congregation for their support of the music ministry.10 | ANNUAL REPORT 2022'
