The schedule is rotated yearly so that each team gains experience with differing services and celebrations. This year, every member of the Guild handled revised services and plans with seamless competence and grace. We arrange memorial flowers each week, for which Catherine Perrin has graciously accepted leadership. We always welcome new members to join in this wonderful effort.Lector sContacts: Ann Norvell Gray | norvellgray@gmail.comAndrew Peacock | peacockandrewj@gmail.comLectors are parishioners who read the assigned lessons from both the Old and New Testaments at services throughout the year. A lector may also lead the Prayers of the People. The Diocese does not require readers to be licensed, and anyone with a love of the texts and a good, clear speaking voice can serve in this way after a short training session. Readers for the 10:30 a.m. service every Sunday are scheduled from a growing roster by Ann Gray. Sundays 8:00 a.m. service is handled by Andrew Peacock and his crew, and we all pitch in for special services as needed. We are deeply grateful for the commitment of every member of these teams, and for the seriousness they all bring to the preparation and delivery of the assigned readings every week.In recent years, the clergy and staff have been encouraging more participation by young families in all aspects of the life of the parish. One happy result of this emphasis is that the voices of children and young people are beginning to be heard more often at the lectern. Their participation enriches not only the messages we hear, but also their developing understanding of the meaning of scripture. New readers of any age are always encouraged to join the roster. We are happy to answer any questions about whats required, and to help those who may be eager but uncertain.ANNUAL REPORT 2022 | 11'
