Mozart’s “Missa Brevis” Recap

The Parish Choir’s presentation of Mozart’s “Missa Brevis in G Major, K. 140” this past Sunday was in loving memory of Elizabeth Martin, who faithfully served as our Assistant Organist for 43 years.

The soloists included Keely Borland, Soprano; Abigail Stinnett, Alto; James Taylor, Tenor, and Chase Peak, Bass. The service was accompanied by a chamber ensemble, and Sean McDonald, Organist, and conducted by Dr. Elizabeth Melcher Davis. Caroline Whisnant, Soprano, sung Schubert’s lovely “Ave Maria” during Communion.

Thank you to our Music Ministry for a lovely service, thank you to our Hospitality Committee for End of Program Year Reception that followed, and a final thank you to both Sean McDonald and Steve McGehee for everything each of you has helped Grace & Holy Trinity with. Sunday, May 21st marked each of their last Sundays with us.
