The Sunday before Easter at which Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and Jesus’ Passion on the cross are recalled.

Maundy Thursday (Choral | Church)

Thursday, March 28 | 7:00 p.m.
Maundy Thursday is the day we remember Jesus gathered with the disciples in an upper room where he washed their feet and shared a meal with them the night before his trial and crucifixion.

Good Friday – Two Services

Friday, March 29

Stations of the Cross at 12:00 p.m. (Monroe Park)

Vocal Quartet at 3:00 p.m. (Choral | Church)
The Friday before Easter Day, on which the church commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. GHTC will offer two worship services for Good Friday. The first is the Stations of the Cross service in Monroe Park at 12:00 p.m., followed by a choral service in the Church at 3:00 p.m.

Easter

The Great Vigil of Easter (Choral | Church)

Saturday, March 30 | 7:30 p.m.
The liturgy intended as the first celebration of Easter. The service begins in darkness, sometime between sunset on Holy Saturday and sunrise on Easter, and consists of four parts: The Service of Light, The Service of Lessons, Christian Initiation (Holy Baptism) or the Renewal of Baptismal Vows, and the Eucharist.

Easter Day with Brass Quintet – Two Services

Sunday, March 31

Holy Eucharist, Rite One at 9:00 a.m. (Choral | Church)

Holy Eucharist, Rite Two at 10:30 a.m. (Choral | Church)
Easter Day is the annual feast of the Lord’s resurrection. GHTC will offer Holy Communion, Rite One at 9:00 a.m. and Holy Communion, Rite Two at 10:30 a.m. on Easter Day.

Parking

Please consider leaving the parking behind the church for families with mobility issues or very young children. The VCU parking deck gates at West Main Street will be up and open all day on Easter Sunday providing plenty of parking within a short walk of the church.
