Winter Gear Drive – Begins Sunday, October 8, 2023

The Winter Gear Drive is currently underway and Red Door is seeking all seasonal clothing donations including gloves, hats, and scarves. We welcome your donations of used clothing that is clean and in good repair, understanding that the people we serve should be dressed in clothes they can feel proud to wear.

What is Red Door Ministry?

Since the early 1980s, Grace & Holy Trinity Church has been serving the hungry, homeless, and houseless around Richmond. Started by the women of the congregation as a soup kitchen, the ministry has expanded to one of healing, hospitality and wholeness. The Red Door strives to care for the whole person in body, mind and spirit.

The Red Door Ministry is always thinking of ways the church can help the guests we feed every Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The clothing closet continues to collect socks, men’s underwear in medium to extra large sizes, jeans, toiletries, and plastic grocery bags. We currently feed approximately 100 individuals every Friday.

How can I help?

To volunteer on Fridays, please contact our Kitchen Coordinator. Space is limited at this time and volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
