Grace and Holy Trinity Church holds several Choral Evensongs each autumn and spring at 5:00 p.m. with an organ concert preceding at 4:30 p.m. Choral Evensong is an approximately 50-minute service at the even point between day and night. Filled with beautiful prayers, Scripture, and music using Elizabethan-language, the service is mostly sung. The tradition began in the Church of England around 1549, based on the older monastic offices of vespers and compline. Evensong continues in churches and cathedrals around the world to this day.
